This one celebrates the early spring flowers, which will be crushed, when winter finally gets here... it was created using wax crayons first, with black ink on top and then I added some other finishing touches with aquarelle crayons. Each day I'm trying to get the boys to make something, as it is the school holidays...and then I have a go in my sketch book.

9th of February, by PurpleCathy

Yesterday I tried very hard to create, but almost gave up. This work has a lot of layers... It started with a brown paper bag from the market, that had lovely pictures of bread making. I added some colour with watercolour and aquarelle crayons, which then has a ink text and shellac on top. But it looked terrible... so I riped off the brown paper bag in parts, and tried to revive it, but it didn't work, so I covered it with acrylic paint and did some printing with some bubble wrap. I then added some more colour with aquarelle crayons and some more prints on tracing paper. Phew!
